CBD Oil For Arthritis
As an arthritis sufferer for over 25 years, I take great pleasure in sharing some fundamental information on CBD oil and Arthritis, its forms, and more specifically how arthritis symptoms are positively affected by CBD therapy.
The following subjects and comments are based on my own experience with CBD (cannabidiol) and more importantly, nano CBD. This information also comes from my interactions with our Members’ experiences here at Cannabis Animus.
Also included are results from various abstracts from the U.S. National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health reporting on controlled research studies on CBD and new Cannabis-derived medications.
Physicians and other health professionals with whom I’ve counseled for treatment of inflammation, immune system repair, and general arthritis pain symptoms for both themselves and their patients have also contributed their own experiences.
Always mindful of the fact that we are unique individuals with different genetics, minds, ages, and relationships with pain management…
What we ALL have in common is that we have found a natural solution that is superior at reducing inflammation and therefore the pain that comes as a result of it.
We all want to be free of prescription drugs and rid of their unwanted and unhealthful side effects. And when it comes to CBD oil and arthritis, we have come to realize that the two become inextricably and physiologically interrelated with one another – all for our benefit.
Following is a quick look at what we will be covering regarding CBD and Arthritis:

Quick Review: 2 Types of Arthritis
Other than the normal wear and tear’ from aging and/or abuse, several factors can contribute to the onset of arthritis regardless of how early it is identified.
Heredity, joint alignment, gender, obesity, athletics, and joint injury are among them. But what causes it?
1. Osteoarthritis (OA)
The most common form of arthritis is often referred to as the “wear-and-tear” form of arthritis. It is classified as a degenerative joint disease. Essentially, it is caused by the wearing of the joint assembly beginning with the joint’s cartilage. This breakdown of the body’s joint architecture causes inflammation in ever increasing amounts along with the pain caused by it. Although onset typically develops slowly, men are more prone before age 45, and conversely, women are more prone after age 45.
As the disease progresses the following symptoms develop:
– Internal joint pain
– Joint tenderness to touch and pressure
– Sound and vibration from bone-on-bone contact during motion
– General stiffness following sleep and periods of inactivity
– Loss of motion
2. Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA)
The other form of arthritis is actually an autoimmune system disease where the joint tissue is besieged upon by the immune system in an aberrant way that actually causes inflammation of the joints.
RA is a chronic disease, however its symptoms can fluctuate in duration and intensity. During one of these “flare-ups”, the following symptoms are common:
– Swelling of joint area
– Internal joint pain
– Long periods of stiffness and restricted motion
– Inflammation in fingers, hands, feet, hips, knees, neck, and back
– Accompanied by occasional fever
CBD Oil for Arthritis Pain
Worldwide research has been providing evidence of CBD’s amazing interaction with our endocannabinoid and immune systems 0n an exponentially increasing basis.
Following are some of the findings relevant to CBD Oil for Arthritis that I’ve gleaned from the abstracts from the U.S. National Library of Medicine and National Institutes of Health.
The cannabinoid medication was taken orally by oromucosal spray, and assessments were conducted daily.
The objective was to assess the efficacy of Cannabis-based prescription medication for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis pain.
No Rx drugs are currently available that can affect the progression of these diseases. Therefore, success with CBD and Cannabis therapies is not only supported by the pre-clinical data, it is arguably the only game in town. It is also 100% non-toxic, 100% non-psychoactive, and 100% non-addictive.
The first controlled trial using a Cannabis-based medication called Sativex occurred over 10 years ago in 2006. After the 5 week trial period, the medical data analysts concluded that even Sativex reduced inflammation and pain, as well as improved sleep.
The first controlled trial assessing the efficacy of the aforementioned Sativex brand medication with Placebo group and a Cannabinoid Group consisting of 58 patients over a 5 week period.
Overwhelming evidence from the last 10 years of pre-clinical trials and assessments suggests that CBD interacts with our endocannabinoid system’s cannabinoid receptors in such a way as to significantly reduce pain, regulate inflammation.
Clinical evidence even shows improved joint disease recovery.
Sativex is one of Big Pharma's first moves into Cannabis adoption along with Marinol.
In comparison with the placebo group, the Sativex group produced statistically significant changes in lower pain levels from movement, pain levels at rest in different positions, and reported improvements in sleep and feeling rested and less fatigued.
A rigorous and systemic search conducted by Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials for all randomized, controlled studies longer than 2 weeks in duration through the end of 2015 determined similar outcomes: significant to mild pain reduction, improved sleep, and general improvements in quality of life measurements with less fatigue.

How Does CBD Oil Work?
CBD oil has been determined to be the most powerful and effective pain reliever largely due to its aforementioned interrelationship with our endocannabinoid system. CB1 and CB2 receptor cell sites located throughout our body’s central and peripheral nervous systems, immune system, hormone system, organs and skin readily seek out the CBD we ingest.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a disease that allows our immune system to attack the tissues in our joints.
And it is the relationship between CBD and our immune system that reduces the inflammation that is largely the cause of the pain to begin with.
This explains why so many patients are turning to a more effective and non-toxic solution in Cannabis products that work so well for RA and OA symptoms.
It is exactly this ant-inflammatory effect that is being shown to actually slow, and in some cases even stop, the progression of the disease.
This prevents further damage to your to your joints which is obviously critical to optimizing quality of life concerns. CBD reduces fatigue, stress, and anxiety which are all symptoms of arthritic conditions.
Best CBD Oil for Arthritis
I’ve personally tested over 100 CBD products and countless ones that include THC. And I can tell you that most all CBD oil products use CBD crystalline isolate (99+% CBD), or some form of CBD isolate combined with a natural oil like MCT (multi-chain-triglyceride).
The main differences in these oils are in labeling/packaging, ratio of CBD to oil, and size of bottle. In other words, they are pretty much all the same.
For those that are seeking differentiation in their CBD therapy, the best CBD for arthritis is nano CBD oil which provides 100% bioavailability due the reduction in size of the CBD molecules themselves.
This “nano-sizing” of the CBD is to such an extreme degree that it becomes over one millionth the size of the original molecule.
This nano CBD is small enough to pass through the “blood-brain barrier” of any cells where needed.
Based on the huge success of these product sales to our Members at Cannabis Animus, market trends over the last 3 years, and the influence of nanoscience on nutrition and medicine, it is a widely-held observation among us patients that nano CBD products are 5 to 10 times more effective compared to hemp oil or traditional CBD in oil tinctures.
This makes it even more economical than traditional hemp oil and CBD oils due to its bioavailability. Just do the math yourself, and you will clearly see that by spending a little bit more on my nano CBD products reviews you will improve effectiveness and therefore your cost at the same time because you will buy less bottles and require less frequent dosing. That’s what we call the best CBD for arthritis.
CBD Dosage for Arthritis
What is the best dosage of CBD for arthritis? Frankly, it’s the same answer for any application or any candidate for CBD therapy. And it’s this simple…
The answer is… as much as it takes. And I continue to keep proving it to those patients who are motivated,
Although it is widely held that 25 to 30 milligrams of CBD is a minimum adult daily dose for maintenance, I’ve observed that patients are often reluctant to increase their dosage as well as the frequency of their dosing.
So, whatever the reason(s), the only real obstacle I’ve found to optimizing the results from CBD Therapy are 2 main 'things'...
1st is the willingness of the patient to increase their dosages as needed.
2nd is their willingness to double and even triple daily dosing frequency in order to actually determine the optimum therapy parameters.
Only after that peak level can you begin to then, slowly, reduce the dosages and frequency to ultimately achieve homeostasis… a condition defined as “proper balance” of nervous system, immune system, hormone system, cardiovascular, and more. That would be a daily minimum of say 25 mg CBD once per day. And you may indeed require more, but you’ll know why. After completing the front-end process you’ll really know what you are doing going forward as you slowly lower the dosage and frequency to fit your daily needs while ensuring that you are not wasting any CBD.
Complimentary Hemp Product Benefits
To not emphasize the benefits of all forms of Cannabis would be an ignorant omission regarding CBD and arthritis pain.
So, along that line of thinking, it is important that everyone reading this is paying attention to incorporate other forms of the Cannabis plant into their CBD Therapy regimen and diet.
These parts of the Cannabis Plant will provide a synergistic effect that is backed by nutritional and biochemical science over the last 20 years.

Hemp Seed Oil: Although there is no CBD in hemp seeds, they hold the most perfectly balanced combination of all 3 essential omega fatty acids and make up as much as 45% of the oil itself. These oils are referred to as “essential” because our bodies do not produce it, and it is required for optimal wellness and health.
-
Hemp Fiber: Digestibility is key to any decision on dietary fiber. The higher the “quality” of the protein, the more digestible it is. Hemp protein is arguably better than any other plant source. It also contains the all of the essential fatty acids in the optimum ratio of all three. The protein-digestibility-corrected-amino-acid-score (PDAAS) for the proteins from hemp seeds are generally greater in quality than found in most grains, legumes, and nuts.
-
Hemp Protein Powder: Although present in most Hemp Protein powders, I recommend 12 to 15 grams of hemp fiber over all other forms of supplemental fiber in our diets. My only reservation is for those that require a more mild form of fiber due to digestive conditions, intestinal/colonic maladies, and sensitivities. Consult your physician or preferably a degreed nutritionist.

Hemp Root: Commonly referred by historians and archaeologists as among the very first agricultural crops, Cannabis cultivation (hemp) began at least 16,000 years ago. Hemp root is documented as being used in 2700 BC by the “Chinese” for medicinal purposes. Not recommended for use in cooking, hemp root is perfect for teas and home-blended tincture oils (recommended).

CBD has shown potential evidence in reducing the symptoms of migraine.
In fact Chris, CBD Living Water is used by a number of our Members at Cannabis Animus who suffer from migraine. They swear by it as “the only thing that works for them”. So, I highly recommend the nano water and adding a nano gel cap or nano CBD tincture oil to boost the dose. I’ve also found that people generally do not take ‘enough’ CBD, and they often miss dosing in the afternoon and evening before bed.
Good information! I’ve used your CBD Freeze roll-on for some time now, and have started using the Gel Caps along with the topical and getting even better results.
So glad to hear that Keith. It only makes sense that a daily dose of at least 25mg (like the CBD Living Gel Caps) would improve your condition greatly. Although the Freeze is amazingly effective, it’s only a very small amount of CBD per application. And that has to get into the skin layers and nerve endings… so, we all need CBD delivered to our peripheral nervous system and central nervous system as well, right? 🙂 The topical is supposed to be used in addition to internally delivered CBD.
