CBD oil is most often sourced from commercially grown hemp from other countries. This “hemp” is one of 3 species of Cannabis called Cannabis ruderalis which contains only about .03% THC. Although this is the psychoactive cannabinoid in Cannabis, it is too low in amount to cause any psychotropic effects in humans.
This is one main reason that it is legal in all States in the U.S. No one in the U.S. Justice Department has ever prosecuted anyone for using any of the 25,000+ products that contain hemp oil.
Another reason is that CBD Living is a completely non-toxic cannabinoid derived from 50 State legally imported hemp oil.
So this is the primary distinction between CBD oil and hemp oil… CBD can be extracted from the hemp oil itself.
CBD Oil vs. Hemp Oil
The difference between “nano” CBD oil and traditional CBD oil is in the manufacturing technology. Nanoscience has exploded in the field of biochemistry, and CBD (cannabidiol) is a dramatic example that demonstrates how much more effective CBD becomes when the individual molecules are reduced to over one-millionth of their original size.
This nano-sizing allows the CBD to pass through the “Blood-Brain Barrier” which means that virtually 100% bioavailability is now possible. And that means you can expect 100% bioactivity as a result.
Patients commonly report 5 to 10 times the pain and anxiety relief compared to traditional CBD products.
What is Hemp Oil Used For?
Hemp oil has been used for thousands of years as an anti-bacterial, antiseptic, painkiller and treatment for many symptoms, illnesses, and diseases. Today it is used in over 25,000 products, but more relevant to our audience, hemp oil is used mostly in its organically extracted, semi-solid state.
This extracted oil can be purchased containing the full spectrum of polyphenols, phytonutrients, flavonoids, terpenes and CBD which give its characteristic aroma and taste as well as its healing properties. Other forms are also available for commercial use in products where the organic matter is removed and further purified for use as an additive in foods, cosmetics, paints, etc.
As far medicinal products go, traditional Hemp oil is typically applied under the tongue with an eye-dropper/tincture (bottle) for faster absorption. It is also mixed with food or edible products. Generally speaking, organic hemp oil of this kind is not used in vaporizers because it has too many organic solids remaining in it which would not vaporize properly. The cleaner – the better in this regard.
CBD Vape Oil
CBD vape oil, CBD e-liquid, and CBD vape juice are all specifically formed for use in vaporizers. The first thing that differentiates CBD vape oil from hemp oil is that all of the ‘solids’ and large particle plant material is removed from the hemp oil extract.
The second difference is that this purified oil is further refined in order to provide clean burning characteristics where only the vapor is produced when heated.
This is an important factor affecting a product’s quality and characteristics. Another is the type of oil s as additives that are added to the final product.
After the CBD oil is extracted using the supercritical CO2 process, high quality vape oils like in CBD Living Vape will only use inert and harmless MCT oil (medium chain triglycerides). This is completely non-toxic and is only used for the purpose of facilitating product performance and volume characteristics.
The additives that you want to stay away from are PG, VG, and especially vitamin E acetate. These stand for Propylene Glycol and Vegetable Glycerin. These and vitamin E acetate are often added to facilitate more efficient wicking of oil and allowing you to start vaping sooner... but not good for your lungs.
Although these are both approved by the FDA for oral consumption, the jury is still out on how it affects the lung tissue and cardio pulmonary system. Therefore, I don’t recommend vape oils, vape juices, or e-liquids that contain either VG or PG base oil additives.
Types of CBD Vape Oil Product Accessories
There are 2 basic types of CBD vape products: Concentrated solutions for dab rigs and oil pipes, and disposable e-liquids and oil cartridges (as with vape pens). Within these 2 main categories you will find a myriad of product variations, technologies, and design approaches.
This variety follows the developments in alternative nicotine delivery vape oils and vape products.
Similarly, you will find products with different strength levels and potencies.
For example, it has become well documented that nano-sized CBD oil, edibles, and beverages are 6 – 10 times more effective than a non-nano-sized CBD molecule or lyposome cluster.
Retail cost is relative to quality of the product’s sourcing, manufacturing process, and the amount of certified and tested CBD per volume of oil base.
Most all biochemists and physicians with whom I have interviewed agree that a pharmaceutical grade MCT oil is the best choice for the base oil to which the CBD is added in tinctures, vape oils, and e-liquids. Medium chain triglycerides are typically derived from fractionated coconut oil.
Best CBD Vape Oil
CBD Living Vape and CBD Living eJuice are both at the highest end of this spectrum of quality and potency. They use a critical CO2 extraction process and blend natural terpenes back into the MCT oil portion. So, for those of you who are looking for the best economics as well as the highest level of effectiveness, you will find their disposable pens to contain a 50/50% combination of CBD (cannabidiol) to the terpene-enhanced MCT oil additive. Awesome effect and rich flavor.
CBD Vape Oil Benefits
High quality CBD vape oil is arguably the quickest way to get CBD into your system if conscious and awake. It’s easy to understand that the CBD in the oil vapor is absorbed immediately into the bloodstream, and therefore an extremely effective way to administer your CBD. It is also very efficient because you are the one who determines how many hits on the vaporizer you take.
It’s been my experience as well as other who have noticed that the monthly cost of vaping CBD oil is comparatively lower than other forms of administering cannabidiol to our bodies. This is not to say that it is necessarily better than other forms like nano-sizing the CBD in Water and Gel Caps. But it can be argued to be more economical largely due to the aforementioned combination of immediate delivery to the blood stream, and also your ability to regulate the dosage of CBD – breath by breath.
Is CBD Living Vape Oil Safe?
Since this has become a much hyped and over-exaggerated health issue, I feel it's very important to clarify some of the issues. I'm finding that people are very confused about the facts and logically desire more reliable information than our present-day media is not making clear.
The first thing to understand is that the health issues surrounding the subject of "vaping" relates to nicotine, THC, and Vitamin E Acetate when included in some vape products. Rest assured that CBD Living Vape oil does not contain any of these ingredients or additives.
The other issue is consumers unknowingly purchasing black market vape products. This can be avoided by only purchasing products that show a QR Code on the label which you can scan with your smart phone. This will instantly provide you with the 3rd Party Lab Test results from the exact batch of the product.
I highly recommend this article written by David Bienenstock, How mainstream media botched the vape lung story for quality information and better understanding of the facts in this controversy.
I hope you find this product review on vaping CBD oil with CBD Living’s new vape pen helpful. I consistently update my CBD Product Reviews at Cannabis Animus, and often get the best insights for improving the review from our Members and visitors alike.
The big take-away from this product review is the fact that this is the only nano CBD oil vape on the market at this time. I’m preaching to the choir as far as our Members go, but if you have not yet compared ANY nano CBD product to a traditional CBD oil product… then you are missing the boat.
